The Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Program is a highly interactive and practical learning experience to help you build a solid foundation in Lean Six Sigma. It is the starting point in your continuous improvement journey that covers the fundamental tools and methodologies to become a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
The workshop is designed to get you immediately starting to scope and implement small improvement projects using the Define (D) Measure (M) Analyse (A) Improve (I) Control (C) project management methodology. The program will be facilitated by an industry experienced Lean Six Sigma Qualified Business Transformation Specialist. Yellow Belts typically work on small continuous improvement projects on their own or part of a larger improvement project under the guidance of a Green Belt.

The Vative Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt program is available as a Public Program as well as an onsite bespoke training program at your workplace.
The Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Program is ideal for participants who are starting their Lean Six Sigma journey or would like a refresher on the foundational tools and methodologies of Lean Six Sigma. Yellow Belts work on small Continuous Improvement (CI) projects on their own or part of a larger CI project under the guidance of a Green Belt.
All participants will receive a “Certificate of Participation” to acknowledge that they have completed the workshop. Participants completing the course may also attain a Vative Statement of Knowledge Certification upon successful completion of an online exam with a 75% pass rate. This Certification is optional and priced at $250 + GST per person.

The Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Workshop is a 1 Day program that will cover the topics outlined in the Workshop Outline. There will be scheduled breaks including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Morning and afternoon tea is included.

Cancellations post registrations will incur the following administration handling fees:
- Less than 48 hours prior to program commencement – 50% of fees
- More than 48 hours prior to program commencement – 10% of fees
- Rescheduling registrations incurs a $150 administration fee

Vative offers a Statement of Knowledge (SOK) through its partner Lean Six Sigma Society of Professionals (LSSSP). LSSSP is a global certifying body and conducts certifications in line with Lean and Six Sigma standards originally laid down by Motorola University.
The SOK requires an open book online exam where participants have 1 hr to complete 25 multiple choice questions. The pass mark is 75% and above with two attempts allowed. There is a 24 hr period between attempts.
Minitab is only used during Lean Six Sigma Green and Black Belt programs and are included in the price.
Our facilitators are trained to adapt training and assessment to suit the needs of individuals whereby assessments can be adjusted to suit different levels of language and literacy.
Yes. A Lean Six Sigma skill set is not industry specific and can be applied to any process that has waste and variation. Vative has experience in deploying Lean Six Sigma across a variety of sectors with Business Transformation Specialists from various backgrounds and experience to help contextualize the learning and application.
The answer to this question is based on how many participants your organisation would like to put into the workshop. If the numbers are 6 – 16, then we can run the workshop at your organisation. If the numbers are less than 6 or you are doing this workshop privately, then we recommend that you attend one of our public workshops. Our required minimum number of participants ensures there is good discussion, sharing of knowledge and the ability to run a simulation exercise.
All coaching is offered as a group during the 1 day Yellow Belt Workshop.
If further coaching is required individually or as a group, please contact us or speak to the program facilitator.
If the program is canceled or postponed by Vative, all participants will be notified 2 weeks prior to the date and offered a full reimbursement or an opportunity to attend another scheduled program date.
If the participant would like to cancel, they must provide Vative notice in writing 2 weeks prior to the date of the program. If the cancellation is done less than 2 weeks prior to the program, a 10% of program fee will apply. If the cancellation is done less than 48 hours prior to program commencement, a 50% of program fee will apply.
