Vative’s Business Strategy and Analysis services provide a wholistic view on the direction of your business and clarity on where the best productivity improvements will come from. Vative deliver an unbiased third-party perspective that will help to guide you in making the most accurate decisions to prepare your business for growth through improvement in people, processes and productivity.
Purpose Vision and Character
Vative Business Strategy services starts with the leadership team and key decision makers to develop the organisations Purpose, Vision and Character (PVC). The PVC clarifies ‘why’ you are in business (Purpose), ‘where’ you would like your business to head to (Vision) and ‘who’ you need to be to get there (Character also referred to as Values).
Most businesses would already have a PVC and would like a review and others would like to develop them. Vative strongly believe that to have a great culture and achieve business outcomes, everyone in the organisation needs to be aligned to its purpose, vision and character. When there is alignment, performance increase and cultures thrive. This service is typically a 2-day workshop with the leadership and key decision makers of the organisation.
Business Strategy and Metrics
Strategic Business Plan on a Page:
As a next step a Strategic Business Plan on a Page is developed along with key metrics to provide a clear direction for the organisation to move forward.
The PVC and the Strategic Business Plan on a Page becomes the DNA of the organisation to grow and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement. The PVC and the Strategic Business Plan on a Page is rolled out to all employees by the leadership team to ensure there is transparency and clarity on the ‘why’, ‘where’, ‘how’ and ‘what’ (PVC & Strategy) in order for the organisation to meet its short, medium and long-term goals and objectives.
Then there is transparency and clarity in direction couples with key performance indicators (metrics), people are more motivated to achieve and as a result performance increase. This service is typically a 2-day workshop with the leadership and key decision makers of the organisation.
Business Analysis and Status
A Vative lean business analysis will generate a lean overview of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that may affect your current and future productivity.
Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Value Stream Design (VSD):
Value Stream Mapping and Design will identify the flow of business processes for both current and future scenarios. Once the current state and non-value added activities are established and validated, then a future state is designed to eliminate bottlenecks and waste.
This workshop is conducted with your key stakeholders and process managers of your organisation to identify and validate value and waste as well as identify opportunities and areas of improvement for the business process and overall continuous improvement strategy. This is done by prioritising the improvement ideas (Kaizens) that then feeds into projects and initiatives for improvement.
A current value stream and future value stream design will be documented in iGrafix software with process data such as cycle times and overall lead time together with a report recommending priorities for improvement. This service is typically a 2-day engagement with the key stakeholders and process managers of the organisation.
Lean Business Health Check:
The Vative Lean Business Health Check (LBHC) is about striving for excellence and creating value. The customer experience is at the heart of everything we do and drives continual improvement throughout mature organisations. For Leaders, this means improving Management Systems i.e. the way we run the business to achieve strategic and operational objectives.
The LBHC provides a holistic view of all aspects of management and evaluates alignment with the globally recognised principles of Business Excellence. These Principles are considered the differentiators between mediocre and excellent businesses, and assessment against these enables managers to decide how much effort to put into which aspects of their business. What the Lean Business Health Check Provides:
- Deliver the opportunity for leadership teams to evaluate their business and identify strengths and opportunities for improvement of the management system
- Draw insight to enable the development and prioritisation of action plans
- Establish a baseline for ongoing monitoring and measurement of your business’ progress
- Stimulate organisational learning and continually improve understanding of how to apply the Business Excellence Principles in your particular business context.
The LBHC will take a deep dive into four benchmarked areas of each portfolio:
- Management System & Continuous Improvement Process
- Value Adding Processes
Each of these areas are assessed against the six key “Lean Pillars” of:
- Process Orientation
- Perfect Quality
- Pull System
A comprehensive report with recommendation will enable leadership and key decision makers to see current status on the business and what areas to work on as a priority. This service is typically a 2-day engagement with the key stakeholders and process managers of the organisation.
