Michael Gavin

A technically astute Project Manager, Michael has a long-standing career in deploying Lean Six Sigma projects and facilitating the process of change management with cohorts across a various industry sectors. Michael’s Continuous Improvement journey commenced in the early 90’s whilst employed at GE which during this era, GE under Welch’s leadership adopted Motorola’s Six Sigma methodology to enable a large-scale productivity improvement.

During his GE tenure, Michael was responsible for production savings contributing to 7-figure savings year upon year. His expertise then led him back to his homeland in Ireland and working for another global enterprise – Honeywell. With his Black Belt experience, he moved from an Engineering based leadership role into the direct function of a Continuous Improvement Specialist with the responsibility in training, coaching and leading Green Belt resources through process improvement projects across numerous departments of Honeywell before ending his tenure there after 15 years of service to make his way back to Australia. Since 2013 Michael has helped many businesses develop internal capability in Lean Six Sigma delivering training to over 400 employees during this time then joining Vative as a Business Transformation Specialist in 2021.
